Sea Weeds first opened its doors in the picturesque harbour town of Hout Bay, Cape Town, in 1979, and almost overnight became the destination for swimwear in the Western Cape. When the boutique moved to Constantia Village, it cemented its reputation as the go-to spot for stylish, high-quality ranges and an unparalleled level of personal service.
From the very beginning, Sea Weeds attracted a loyal following of South African celebrities and high-profile personalities, all drawn to the boutique’s commitment to style, quality, and an unforgettable shopping experience.
In 2007, fashion industry veteran Tarryn Epstein took the helm after 13 vibrant years in corporate fashion. With a keen eye for design, an instinct for what flatters, and a passion for exceptional service, Tarryn continues to build on the Sea Weeds legacy. She understands that buying a swimsuit isn’t just a purchase, it’s a personal journey. For many women, it can be a challenge to find the perfect style, fit, and colour. Today, Sea Weeds is making waves once again. We’ve relaunched on the Atlantic Seaboard with a brand-new boutique on Regent Road, Sea Point, opened an exciting new store at Canal Walk Shopping Centre, and are preparing to unveil a fresh new space for our Constantia store within Constantia Village. Each location brings the same heritage of excellence, paired with an updated, contemporary edge.
